NSS – National Service Scheme
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at GEC Baran engages students in community service, rural development, and social welfare activities, inculcating a spirit of volunteerism and national integration.
Activities & Programmes
- Special Camps: 7-day residential camps in adopted villages for community development work
- Blood Donation Drives: Regular camps in collaboration with government hospitals
- Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: Cleanliness drives in and around the campus and adopted village
- Tree Plantation: Annual plantation drives to promote environmental sustainability
- Health Awareness: Camps on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Digital Literacy: Teaching basic computer skills to rural communities
- Disaster Relief: Volunteer assistance during natural calamities
