Hostel Facilities

GEC Baran provides separate, well-maintained hostel facilities for boys and girls within the college campus, accommodating over 300 resident students.

Boys Hostel

• Total capacity: 200 students (double and triple sharing rooms)
• 24-hour electricity with generator backup
• 24-hour water supply with RO drinking water facility
• Common room with LED TV, carom, and table tennis
• High-speed Wi-Fi (50 Mbps dedicated connection)
• Separate study room open till midnight

Girls Hostel

• Total capacity: 100 students
• Dedicated lady warden on-site 24/7
• CCTV surveillance throughout the hostel
• Secure entry/exit with biometric attendance
• Common room, reading area, and indoor games

Mess Facility

Both hostels are served by a well-run mess providing hygienic, nutritious vegetarian meals at subsidized rates. Monthly mess charges are approximately ₹2,800 (subject to revision). Special dietary requirements can be accommodated on medical grounds with prior intimation to the warden.

Medical Facility

A first-aid room is available on campus, and tie-ups with Baran District Hospital ensure emergency medical care for hostel residents.
